Jocelyn's story

Jocelyn M. is from the village of Labo, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. She is 48 years old, is married, and has one school-aged and three adult children.

Jocelyn owns and operates a business planting and harvesting corn for sale. She has been engaged in her business for over ten years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month.

In 2007, Jocelyn joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 8,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings, and young crops to raise.

Jocelyn is requesting a new loan of 7,000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizer such as manure. This will be her 7th loan from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
