A loan helped to purchase dairy feed.

Selina's story

Selina is a 46-year-old widow and a mother of three schoolgoing children.

She is a dairy farmer, a business she has done for the past ten years. This is her second time borrowing with VisionFund and she earns an average income of KES 30,000 monthly from the business.

She has borrowed KES 70,000, which she intends to use to purchase animal feed for her cows. She anticipates the feed will boost milk production in the cows and, thus, generate more income.

She will use the anticipated profit from the improved business to repay her loan and pay school fees for her children. Her future hopes and dreams are to be financially stable and provide a better, more comfortable life for her children.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services and education in deep rural areas.
