A loan helped to buy pigs and spare parts for his mill.

Oscar Antonio's story

Oscar lives with his wife in Colonia Altos del Sur, San Lorenzo, department of Valle. He is a very hardworking man with desires to get ahead. He has earned a living through his industrial mill business and from selling pigs for butchering for many years; his clients are his neighbors, friends and family. Among the principal products that he services in his business, these stand out: corn for tortillas, beans for baleadas [stuffed tortillas] and tamales, sesame and morro seeds, etc. His customers prefer him for his quality of service.

At this time, he is requesting a loan to buy bands, grease, pans and discs as spare parts for his mill and also to buy pigs to sell for butchering. He takes advantage of this platform to thank Kiva and Prisma for the offered support. His dream is to improve his house.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
