A loan helped a member to buy agricultural inputs to develop his garden in order to grow vegetables and fruit to sell.

Ben Group's story

Sékou is the one raising his right hand. He is 27 years old, married and the father of two children who are not yet old enough to attend school. Sékou is a farmer who grows vegetables (tomatoes, onions, eggplant, cabbage, cucumbers and peppers). He has been in this business for 10 years and manages to take care of his family financially and materially thanks to the proceeds from the RMCR loans. His next goal is to build a house in semi-hard stone for his family, and cultivate a plot of land even larger than the previous ones.

Sékou will invest his new loan in his main activity, which is market farming. The drawback of this business is poor sales of some products due to very low market prices. Sékou hopes the good relationship between RMCR and Kiva continues.
