A loan helped to pay for land.

Benedict's story

Benedict deals in cocoa farming on his family's land and also sells cocoa to cocoa companies in town. He started serious farming 20 years ago to raise income to meet the family’s increasing demands, particularly that of rising school fees for his children.

His family's desire is to buy more land and increase cocoa growing and selling, and ensure his children do not drop out of school. He gets bothered mainly by high school fees, price fluctuation, and the off-season of cocoa in July and August, hence affecting his returns.

He is now requesting a loan to buy land for farming.

Benedict earns extra income from his rental houses located in town.

This loan is special because:

It helps increase the productivity and income of rural farmers in Uganda.
