A loan helped a member to purchase merchandise to sell in her fried food business such as groceries, meat, juices, soft drinks, flour, salami, chorizo, etc.

Cristo Salva : Grupo 4 Group's story

Luciana is a young entrepreneurial woman who lives in a batey in the province of La Romana in the Domincan Republic. Despite being a very touristic province for its lovely beaches and resorts, La Romana has very impoverished communities such as the bateys where people, primarily Haitian immigrants, live in extreme poverty.

Luciana is a young mother who began selling underwear, then realized that this business did not give her a lot of income and her spouse advised her to change her business. So, she decided to establish a fried food business where she sells groceries, meat, empanadas, soft drinks, juices, salami, chorizo, and other items. With this business, Luciana generates more income to help her family.

Luciana grew up in a very poor home and was only able to finish the fifth grade of primary school but this has not prevented her from working and helping with her family's sustenance.

Luciana needs your help to purchase new merchandise for her fried food business to continue selling and generating income.
