A loan of $1,025 helped to buy ingredients and kitchen utensils.

Elsa's story

Elsa, 36, lives with her husband and childrfen in her parents' house.

For the last 5 years she has sold prepared meals at a crafts market near the area where she lives. She works from 8am until 2pm. When night falls she sells anticuchos (skewered grilled beef heart). Thanks to her good seasoning and customer service she has acquired regular customers who visit day by day to satisfy their hunger with her delicious dishes. Everything is going well with her business and she believes it can improve still. For this reason, she wants to make some improvements on her food stand to provide better service and increase her sales.

This is her fourth loan with MFP; she is a member of the "Cristo Morado" communal bank. All of her fellow members are very puntual with their repayments.

She will use the funds requested now to buy ingredients at wholesale (sacks of rice and nonpersihable items) to prepare her meals as well as some benches and kitchen utensils.
