A loan of $700 helped purchase of fertilizers and seed.

Maximiliana's story

Maximiliana is 45 years old. She lives with her two adult children who are farmers and help her with household expenses.

This hardworking woman has worked in agriculture since she was very small. In the mountain region, most people work in the field because they learn from generation to generation. When she had her children, she continued with this work and since then she has planted corn and peas. These are products that have a high price in the domestic market. At present, although she is not supporting anyone, she keeps planting. Her children suggested she should rest after so many years of work, but Maximiliana really likes to work the land. She says that she is used to waking up every day at dawn to care for her green fields. She has a lot of plans for the future. Among them is her wish to plant in greater quantities, especially peas, since she knows the price for that product is maintained in the market.

This is the second loan that she has had with MFP and she is very grateful to all the people who make it possible to be able to access credit that will allow her to continue working to get ahead. The money she is asking for she will invest in the purchase of fertilizers and pea seed, since she wants to continue planting and she must secure her lands for future plantings.
