Safina's story

Safina is a 34-year-old woman, married and living with her three children in Bundibugyo, Uganda.

She deals in selling fish and fresh foods as a vendor in the markets and gets additional income from growing and selling cocoa. She is very hardworking but is challenged by insufficient capital; she has hopes of building a permanent house and also educating her children up to University.

She has requested a loan to continue increasing her stock to meet the demand for her fish plus foodstuffs like tomatoes, cabbages, rice, and ground nuts, especially if it is in season.
