A loan of $700 helped purchase fertilizers & two heads of cattle.

Silvia's story

Silvia is 29 years old and lives in her own home with her partner and their three dependent children. Together they seek to get ahead on the basis of much effort and work.

Every day Silvia wakes up at dawn to begin work in her cornfields. Both she and her husband look after their land so that they can be assured of a good and productive harvest. Farming generates a decent income that gives her family an adequate quality of life. Silvia enjoys planting seeds because she knows exactly what to do, but she does not like constantly dealing with pests that have ruined a large part of her harvest on several previous occasions. Therefore, it is necessary that she remain vigilant. Silvia also raises cattle. Whenever emergency situations arise, she can always sell a head of cattle to earn some money. Being an enterprising woman, Silvia has many plans to keep progressing. One of her goals is to buy more cattle so that she can continue to sell them, thereby generating more income.

This is her second loan with MFP. Silvia is very grateful to everyone who made it possible to receive this loan that will allow her to continue working. The money will be used to purchase fertilizers for maintaining her land. She will also buy two heads of cattle for fattening and eventual resale.
