A loan of $350 helped fertilizer for her crop and two milk cows.

Angelica's story

Angélica is 48 years old and lives in her own home, along with her husband Teófilo (50), who is a farmer, and their four children, ages 22, 17, 13, and 10.

Each day she rises with the first rays of the sunlight in order to tend to the cornfields, along with her husband. The work is strenuous and nothing easy. It requires patience and dedication in order to fend of the effects of the weather and prevent the insects from destroying what she put so much effort into caring for. After a while she is able to proudly see the golden cobs, which she sells to large businesses. This income allows them to live well and provide for their children’s education. They hope that one day they will become professionals. She also raises livestock and has a good breed of bull and some sheep that she sells now and then, mainly whenever there is an urgent need. Angélica has many plans for the future, the next is to buy some milk cows and sell fresh milk.

This will be her first loan through MFP and she is thankful for all the people who make it possible for her to get this loan and move ahead. She will use the money to buy sacs of fertilizer for her crop, and two cows so that she can start selling milk.
