Carlos's story

Carlos is a 57-year-old farmer, who has been working growing coffee from a very young age. He also worked as an assistant in construction and road works. For 15 years he has lived in the village of Jerusalem-San José de Lourdes, Peru. There he cultivates 2 hectares. He started working in the banana business 2 years ago and currently manages both crops simultaneously. With the support of his wife, who works raising pigs, they have progressively improved their quality of life and of his family. Carlos will use the loan to fertilize his coffee plantation and increase the production area for plantains.
