A loan of $550 helped to make improvements to her farm.

Mayela's story

Mayela A. Fernandez is 33 years old, married, and lives with her husband and their 9-year-old son. She would like this loan in order to make improvements to her farm. She wants to carry out a few projects on her farm, purchase some materials, and expand her cultivation area. The idea is to improve and increase the production capacity of this area. Mayela has a diverse range of crops, such as coffee, and she also has some livestock. She wishes to give them adequate maintenance and achieve a better quality, to obtain the greatest possible income when it is time for the harvest. This is the first time that she has requested a loan through FUDECOSUR and is very content because it has made things easier for her. In the future, she hopes to improve her quality of life and have greater economic stability, and in this way continue growing as a person and a producer.
