La famille vit ensemble au quartier Agbato à Cotonou et le couple assure ensemble les charges de la famille. Joséphine n’a jamais fréquenté l’école. Il y a 10 ans, Joséphine s’est mise dans la vente de tissus et des habits pour dames et hommes. C’est à Dantokpa, marché international du Bénin, que Joséphine s’approvisionne. Joséphine effectue la vente de ses produits par le système de distribution. Joséphine a déjà obtenu deux crédits à ALIDé, crédits qu’elle a bien remboursés. Joséphine sollicite un autre crédit auprès de ALIDé pour renforcer ses activités et mieux satisfaire ses clients.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
