La asociación comunal de Palmeras se encuentra en el ciclo Nº2, está compuesto por 8 mujeres y 1 varón. Su horario de reunión es 10:30 de la mañana los días viernes. Cuando se conversa sobre las actividades de las socias, ellas refieren que son diferentes: venta de colchas, frutas, comida, helados, discos compactos (DVD´s), costura de buzos y turismo.
Paola Andrea T. F. es una socia jóven de 20 años de edad, ya está casada, tiene un pequeño hijo de un año de edad. Su negocio desde hace un año es vender DVD´s de manera ambulante, en diferentes ferias de la ciudad de El Alto. Comenzo de a poco, no hubo un mentor. Ahora está solicitando Bs.800.- y con esto espera comprar más mercadería.
