This group of entrepreneurs named their group 'We Believe Weself'. They are small-scale businesswomen based in Makeni city, in northern Sierra Leone. With this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more profit, and consequently improve their families’ well-being.

Memunatu K., pictured on the right, is the leader of this group. Memunatu was born in Makeni, in northern Sierra Leone. The 32-year-old is married to a teacher and they have 3 children who are attending primary school. For many years now, Memunatu has been selling gara lappers (locally dyed cloth). With her share of the loan, she will buy working materials like white cotton, inks, caustic soda, powder and pay experts to make designs on the white cotton.
