Since 1980, she has been making and selling palm cakes in the village and is able to make about US$2 of profit a day. Her son, Sem Boren, is a construction worker. On average, he makes US$2 per day as well. K. An is asking for a loan of US$700 so that she can start a new business for her daughter in law. She wants her daughter to operate a grocery store. (K.
