Rath P., 58, is a widowed farmer who lives with her three daughters. (She is pictured with one of her daughters.) Living in the Takeo province, she typically makes about US$1 each day and two of her daughters together make about US$6 each day as garment factory workers at Phnom Penh city.

Rath P. would like to take out a loan of US$500 to purchase a motorbike for her daughters to commute to work. This will allow her daughters to save even more.

In the future, Rath P. wants her daughters to create their own business instead of working as garment factory workers at Phnom Penh. She says that her daughters need to spend alot on food and accommodation. If her family has enough money, she will suggest that her daughters sell vegetables and fruit at the local market of Takeo province, so that her family will live happily and closely.
