B. Jouvline (shown inset and also in the main photograph) is the leader of her lending group in Bushenyi. She is 27 years old, married, and has one child who is not yet in school. She also takes care of two dependants.

Jouvline is a friendly and determined lady with a business selling beans for home consumption from Kasheshero trading center. Although she mostly sells fresh stock, her profits are not yet large enough to sustain her well. This is why she wants to expand her business further as well as stay together as a happy family. She is requesting a loan to increase her stock by buying more beans in bulk for resale.
