A loan of $500 helped vehicle maintenance.

Clara's story

Clara has been living in the Los Lotes area on the outskirts of Santa Cruz for 2 years, along with her children who are 17 and 19. She heard about the Field Partner through her niece Yaneth, Clara cares for her children by herself, though both are working already. She owns two small station wagons, which she rents out as taxis. She receives a daily payment of 100 bolivianos for each vehicle, and she uses this money to cover her household expenses. Clara and her children are working and saving to buy their own house because their rent money is money lost to them. The money that Clara needs at the moment is to fix one of her wagons which is in a repair shop at the moment.

Clara gives her thanks to Emprender [the Field Partner] and Kiva for the trust they have shown in her by giving her the loan.
