Suma Chuyma Group's story

Julia A. M. has been aware of Pro Mujer for some time. However, in the Suma Chuyma communal bank of the Los Andes Focal Center, this is her second loan cycle.

The Suma Chuyma communal bank is make up of 8 enthusiastic, hard-working members. The businesses they are involved in are: furniture making, clothing sales, toy and blanket sales; wool weaving, drape making, furniture sales, and sales of dairy products (milk, yoghurt).

Julia Apeza is single and, thanks to her father, she has worked as a bedroom furniture maker for the last 5 years. She makes cots, dressing tables, end tables and chests of drawers. She started out making a couple of items, now she finishes complete bedroom sets that she takes to the 16 de Julio market to sell on Thursdays and Sundays. Her brothers sometimes help her out with this task.

When she was asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she answered: THE SAVINGS because it doesn't seem like an extra effort since they are included in the payments.

In this group: Julia Nelly, Marcelina, Leonor, Virginia, Maria, Emiliana, Rosalìa, Marcela
