Séraphine's story

H. Séraphine was born around 1979. For ten years, she has been living in the Dodji Dangban district in Allada, a city in Atlantique County. Married to TOKPO Lucien, a palm wine distiller, she is the mother of four chidren and has three other children to support. All of the children are in school. She lives together with her husband and children. The couple jointly ensure that family expenses are covered.

Séraphine has attended secondary school. To meet her needs, she sells cloth at the Sèkou market. Along with this business, she sells corn. She has been in operation for ten years and gets her supplies in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin.

She has already had an ALIDé loan, which she repaid. She's requesting another loan from ALIDé for bolstering her business and satisfying her customers further.
