God Gee Group's story

These are members of the 'God Gee' group. They are small-scale entrepreneurs from the township of Magburaka, in northern Sierra Leone. These entrepreneurs want a loan of SLL 500,000 for each person to further strengthen their businesses.

Aminata T. is the leader of this group of entrepreneurs. Born in Bo city in southern Sierra Leone, the 45-year-old Aminata is married in Magburaka to a businessman and they have 9 children, 7 of whom are attending school – 3 in primary school and 4 in secondary school. Aminata has been a businesswoman for 5 years now. She sells Maggi (used to give sauce a sweet taste), flour, pepper, salt, oil, etc. With her share of this loan, she will expand her business in size and quality by buying the above-mentioned items wholesale and retail them in Magburaka.
