Mohamed's story

Mr. Mohamed Traoré is 30-year-old married man, father of one child. He lives with his wife and child at his father’s home in Bougouni (Third administrative region of the Republic of Mali.) in the neighborhood of North Hérémakono. After attending Koranic School, he decided to venture in search of a better life, more precisely in Ivory Coast. His aspirations were not realized. He decided to return to his father in Bougouni to learn to trade, specifically the sale of various articles such as party items, cosmetics, hair extensions etc… Mr. Mohamed Traoré has 11 years of experience and he masters his trade, he is very much in demand and appreciated. In his search for additional financial resources, he decided to join Soro Yiriwaso. This is his second individual loan; the first one has been fully reimbursed. He is planning on buying party items, cloth for pants and shirts, cosmetic products and perfumes. He gets his supplies from wholesalers in Bamako (Capital of the Republic of Mali). His customers are men and women. The religious holidays and big occasions (baptism, weddings) are times when the sale of his articles is intense. With this loan he is planning on making a monthly profit of 70, 000 Franc CFA. It will be used to provide for the family’s needs and reinvested the rest in the business. In the coming years, he would like to expand his shop.
