A loan of $225 helped to purchase toothpaste.

Gisèle's story

Gisèle A. was born in 1971 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Bénin. One year ago, she moved in with her husband, Epiphane Dah, and his three children in the Yagbé district of Cotonou. Gisèle only attended primary school, but all of the children attend school. The couple shares the family responsibilities. Eight years ago, Gisèle began selling toothpaste as an itinerant vendor. Gisèle is on her third loan with ALIDé. She fully repaid the first two loans that she took out through ALIDé. Gisèle would like to build up her product inventory. Because of her very limited financial means, Gisèle is requesting a third loan through ALIDé.
