A loan helped to buy a solar refrigeration system that will improve the business income of the general store.

Doris's story

Doris lives in the community of Trujillo in Honduras. She is 48 and for over 18 years she has worked in livestock farming along with her husband. She is a very enterprising woman, the reason why with her own effort she has a business where she sells foodstuffs and other products for general consumption.

With the aim of expanding her business, she has included selling dairy products, meat, soft drinks, ice, and other products that need refrigeration. But at present, she has a limitation. The area where Doris and her family live does not have electricity access. Because of this, she has to stock up and have these products refrigerated in coolers. This leads to high costs, as she has to buy ice every day, which is reflected in her profits.

For this reason, Doris is seeking this loan from Soluz Honduras to get a solar refrigeration system, which will help her to be able to serve her customers better and above all, not spend on buying ice. She will not have to go a long distance to get it and in this way her business will grow its profits and her customers will be satisfied.
