A loan of $350 helped to increase merchandise (buy clothing).

Juana's story

Juana, 45, lives in her own home accompanied by her husband Rafael, 57, who works in transportation, and their 2 children Jacqueline, 22, and Jhon, 17.

For 3 years she has sold clothing and shoes according to the season, for men as well as women. She likes this business very much because she does it on her own. Over time she has managed to attract a large number of customers, including friends and acquaintances who are constantly buying from her on credit. In addition she takes her merchandise to a mining area where there is substantial demand. She knows that she has a great capacity for persuasion which allows her to convince her customers with respect to whether an item looks good on them or not. Her business is profitable because she acquires the clothing and shoes that she sells in a city at a low price. For this reason Juana is very satisfied, since she can help her husband with the household expenses. Her main wish is to continue in this line of work, and, in the future, to have a business set up in a stall in a commercial center.

This is the first time that she has had a loan from MFP, and she is very grateful to all of the people who are making it possible for her to obtain the loan and to progress. Juana is planning to use the money to buy a large quantity of merchandise, since she has many orders to fulfill.
