A loan of $700 helped to increase merchandise (buy men's shoes).

Edith's story

Edith, 32, lives in a rented house with her husband Ruben, 40, who works in transportation, and their 2 children: Fabricio, 3 and Viviana, 1.

For 10 years she has sold all types of shoes for men. She enjoys selling, most of all to her male friends, because they are not very picky about choosing what to wear and this facilitates her sales. The part of the job she does not enjoy is having to move her merchandise from the city to the neighborhood where she lives, but the earnings are good and for this reason she is quite satisfied as she is able to contribute to the household expenses. As she is a very enterprising mother, for the future she has plans to establish a stand in a local market where she can sell men's shoes, because she has a number of regular customers who always come to her looking for the newest styles.

This is her 3rd loan with MFP, and she is very grateful to all of the people who make it possible for her to access this credit so that she can continue working in search of progress. At the same time, she is content with the work of her communal bank because it is made up of very hardworking women like herself. Edith plans to invest the money that she requests in the purchase of a greater quantity of shoes, since she has a large number of orders and lacks only the capital needed to fill them.
