Las Cumplidoras Group's story

The Communal Bank "Las Cumplidoras" ("The reliable ones") is made up of 11 members, of whom the president is Ms. Epifania. She is married with 5 children. Epifania works at dressmaking for ladies. She works from monday to saturday and has about a year of experience in the area.

The rest of the group works in different activities. Most sell coca leaves, groceries, and work as dressmakers, be it at their homes or in their stands. One of the partners sells "anticuchos de corazón" (a typical dish in Peruvian gastronomy made of grilled bits of spicy beef heart). Generally speaking, the group has quite a lot of experience in their businesses and this is why they are well known in the area where they sell their products. While the competition in general is hard, the group has experience and also stable patrons that recognize their good work and demand their services. Besides, the group members are enthusiastic about their jobs. They will use the money as working capital; some will buy more groceries and fabric. This groups is doing well with its businesses and they want to keep working and above all to keep counting with financing to reach their goals. The group has quite a lot of experience with other microfinancing institutions.
