Dalal's sugar-packaging workshop is the main source of income for the entire family, but this project is still in its primitive stages. Packaging the bulk quantities of sugar is done manually by the family into different weight packages such as 1, 5 or 10 kilos. Therefore, Dalal has requested a loan from FATEN to purchase an automatic packaging machine which will speed up the work.
Dalal has five sons and one daughter. The oldest is 21 and works in the Ministry of Justice as an MIS (management information system) officer while the rest are school students. Due to the big family and its living expenses Dalal and her husband, who runs the workshop, want to improve their work and be able to meet their family's needs and pay their education fees.
They believe that having this machine will help them achieve this goal, especially since their workshop is the only one of its kind in Jenin district.
