A loan of $325 helped buying various goods (soaps, batteries, milk, pasta, sardines) and some corn.

S. Emma's story

Born in 1972 in Hêtin in Benin, Ms. V. S. Emma has been living for seventeen years in the Agbalilamè district, in the town of Sèmè-Podji.  Married to Mr. OUSSOU KICHO Basile, a teacher, she is the mother of three children who are all in school.  The family lives together in Agbalilamè.  Emma helps out her husband where it concerns family expenses.

Emma did not attend school.  For nearly twelve years, she has been running a business selling a variety of goods (soaps, batteries, milk, sardines, pasta, insecticides, etc.) out of her home.  Along with this business, she also sells corn and beans.  She resupplies herself in Adja in Mono, Azovè, and Pobè in Plateau county.

She has already benefited from two ALIDé loans, which she has repaid.  She wishes to stock up in sufficient quantities to be able to clear a greater profit margin but is limited by her financial means.  This is what's leading Emma to request a third loan from ALIDé.
