A loan of $525 helped a member to purchase livestock feed and other supplies.

Felicidad's Group's story

Felicidad B. is from the village of Remus, Baggao, Cagayan. She is thirty-three years old. Felicidad is the group leader of a five-member group loan offered by ASKI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

Felicidad is married and has four school-aged children. To make a living, Felicidad owns and operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising livestock. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from raising pigs for breeding. Felicidad has been engaged in her business for over five years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP whenever she sells an animal she raised.

Felicidad joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Felicidad is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which she will use to purchase livestock feed and other supplies. This will be Felicidad's first loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay her children's tuition fees.

About ASKI:
