Rosemalyn's Group's story

Rosemalyn R. is from the village of Ubong in Solana, Cagayan. She is 32 years old. Rosemalyn is the leader of a 9-member loan group sponsored by GDMPC. Although each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are collectively responsible for repaying the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

Rosemalyn is married and has 1 school-aged child. To make a living, Rosemalyn owns and operates a general store where she sells a variety of daily-use products, such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste, in the local community. Marilyn has been engaged in her business for over 7 years and earns approximately 7000 PHP a month from these activities.

Rosemalyn joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Rosemalyn is requesting a loan of 5000 PHP to purchase additional inventory and use as working capital. This will be Rosemalyn's first loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
