A loan helped a member to buy secondhand clothing in order to strengthen her business and start-up capital.

Unissons Group's story

Christine is a client of the MFI Hekima and the group representative for the lending group Unissons. She is 32 years old and the mother of five children, all of whom have been to school. Her spouse is a merchant.
This client sells secondhand clothing using start-up funding given to her by her husband. With this loan she will buy secondhand clothing in order to strengthen her business and start-up capital. The challenge with her business is opening up [bundles of] secondhand clothing which often contain bad garments.
Her plan for the future is to grow her business and send her children to school. She thanks Hekima and its partners for their financial support for non-bankable entrepreneurs.
