The Problem
There are millions of victims of human trafficking, exploitation, and abuse worldwide, with thousands rescued each year. Decent employment is critical in order to have sustained restoration and reintegration of survivors. Survivors require real jobs that equip them for the modern workforce with programs to strengthen their life-skills and enable recovery from trauma and disadvantage. Unfortunately, these opportunities are often lacking, leading to high rates of re-exploitation.

The Solution
Regenesys BPO is a Business Process Outsourcing company that provides digital media editing services to companies around the world. They employee people who have been rescued from situations of exploitation and abuse or are at high risk.

Regenesys works with an extensive network of 26 NGOs, including shelters for women who are recovering from trafficking, abuse (sexual, physical or domestic violence), to source and support their employees. Regenesys has thus created a professional workplace with integrated support services for their employees that enables recovery and sustained reintegration. Their employment program addresses the broader determinants and consequences of exploitation and abuse, including household debt, family dysfunction, inadequate life skills, and trauma-related health issues.

The Impact
Regenesys BPO now employs 260 people, with over 80% coming from vulnerable demographics. The loan will help provide 50+ more jobs.
