A loan helped to improve chicken coops.

Kattia's story

Kattia is 43 years old. She is divorced and lives with her children. She wants the loan to buy materials to improve her chicken coops so that she can increase production with the purchase of more chickens. She hopes that this investment will bring her family a better quality of life and more financial stability, and that she can keep growing as a person and as a micro-businesswoman. This is the first loan she has received from FUDECOSUR. She hasn't had other loans from state banks before, but FUDECOSUR has offered her a loan with better terms and a much lower rate of interest.

This loan is special because:

It reaches rural borrowers that are considered too risky for traditional banks.
