A loan of $350 helped purchase sheep, guinea pigs, and chickens.

Preventiva's story

Preventiva is 37 years old and lives in a rented house with her partner Guillermo (age 36) and their two daughters, Jackye (age 13) and Ana Luz (age 6).

For the past four years she has been raising animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep, and chickens. She takes great care in looking after her animals until they are large enough to be sold to merchants at the local market. What she enjoys about her work is that it is easy and the animals keep her entertained. At the same time, it helps her support her daughters. The money she has earned has allowed her to help her husband with the constant household expenses. Preventiva also grows potatoes and corn, which she sells at the local markets. Being an enterprising woman, she has plans in the future to buy more animals because she knows this business is very profitable.

This is her first loan with MFP. She promises to complete her payments on time because that is the only way for her to access additional loans in the future. With the money she is requesting, Preventiva will buy more sheep, guinea pigs, and chickens to fatten so that she can sell them later.
