A loan of $700 helped purchasing a cow.

Flora's story

Flora has been a member of the “San Pedro” Communal Bank for 2 years now. She lives in the Acora district in the province and department of Puno. She is 45 years old, married, and has 5 children. She completed her primary school education and makes a living purchasing and selling cattle and sheep.

Flora tells us that her first loan from the Manuela Ramos Organization was for 300.00 soles, and it helped her to increase her capital for developing her business.

She is now asking for a loan of 2,000.00 soles, which she will use to purchase a cow.

Flora’s dream for the future is to increase her sales so that she can improve her standard of living.

The thing Flora likes most about her communal bank is the punctuality of the members for each meeting.
