A loan helped a member to save money spend on fuel and gain access to electricity for extra lighting and charging mobile device by using the ACE 1 cook stove.

Bolele Group's story

Putsoane is a 41-year-old man who lives in 2 bedrooms with 4 other family members, including 3 children. Putsoane works as a bus driver, but struggles with renovating his home and paying school fee.

He spends the largest amount of his energy expenses on electricity, paraffin, cooking gas and wood, which costs up to LSL 950 per month. He also spends as much as 4 hours per day to gather fuel and fulfill other energy needs.

Putsoane and the group in this village bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access to solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered.
