A loan helped to buy seeds and pay for labor to plant pepinillo, a local fruit.

Consuelo Del Rosario's story

Consuelo lives with her husband and children in the town of La Carolina, in the province of Imbabura. She is 27 years old.

For five years she has worked growing pepinillo (a local fruit). She works with her husband. She also takes care of her children and the household chores.

She will use this new loan to plant 1/2 hectare of pepinillo in order to always have fruit in different phases. She hopes this will increase her sales and that she can move forward with her family. Consuelo is very grateful to Kiva for the support being provided her.
