A loan of $900 helped regional products.

Maribel's story

Maribel is a cheerful woman who lives in the Yarina Cocha district in the Ucayali region. She is 28 years old and the mother of a young son. She buys and sells regional products in the Port of Pucallpa. She has the full support of her husband, who works as a cook for a company. Maribel has been a member of the “Las Dalinas II” communal bank for the past five years. She used her first 300 PEN loan to invest in regional products.

She will use the money from this loan of 2,500 PEN ($900) to buy more regional products and lumber. Her goal is to run the business from her home and become a distributor of grains and bananas from the region.
