A loan helped to buy guinea pigs and grass, chicks, and corn for feeding them.

Maria Raquel's story

María is a single older adult. She has a humble little house in the community of Paja Blanca. María grew up in the countryside, surrounded by agriculture. This has helped her to start her own business raising animals. With her first savings from her work as a day laborer, she bought chicks, so she's always raised animals to help support herself.

María wants to continue improving her business, so she is requesting help to buy guinea pigs and grass, chicks, and corn to feed them. That way, she can fatten them and make them more appealing to her buyers, who prepare roasted guinea pig, a traditional dish that is enjoyed in her area. Your support will help María to be able to work so that she can save up for a surgery she needs to have.
