Tiyanka's story

Tiyanka is a 29-year-old married woman from a small village of Nadia district, West Bengal. She has a family of four and a monthly household income of INR 8,500.

She is engaged in the weaving business. She purchases threads and other weaving accessories from wholesale dealers and weaves different types of fabrics in her handloom workshop, then sells the fabric to retailers. To increase her income, she wants to expand the business by purchasing more stock of threads and other weaving accessories such as threads, needles, etc.

She has applied for a loan of INR 40,000 from Grameen Shakti, one of Milaap's field partners. She and her family will be thankful to the lenders for their support.
