A loan helped to buy pig feeds and 10 pigs to raise.

Sopha's story

Sopha is 33 years old, married and has three children.

Her husband is a worker.

She raises and sells pigs. She has been running this business for three years. Competition and insufficient capital are her major challenges.

Sopha has applied for a 2,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy pig feeds and 10 pigs to raise. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards.

She hopes that she can grow her business and send her children to get higher education.

This loan is special because:

It allows farmers to repay when they receive harvest income and gives them access to training.
