A loan of $575 helped buying construction materials to open a new store.

Nicolasa Candelaria's story

Mrs. Nicolasa Candelaria L. D. is 51 years old, lives in the Laureles Norte neighborhood, has two grown sons and a daughter who still lives at home. Nicolasa sells second-hand clothing in a popular market in the capital. Her husband works as security manager at the Transportation and Infrastructure Ministry.

The family's highest aspiration is to finish raising their daughter and to give her every professional opportunity to ensure her success in the future. They also want to finish their home and to improve the appearance of the new clothing store. For this, they are requesting this loan: to buy construction materials to improve the store to which they will be moving their business. Nicolasa hopes the support for this will come through, since the whole family will benefit financially from the improvements.

This is the second loan Nicolasa requests from Kiva partner Afodenic. The previous loan was used to buy supplies, and now that they're opening a new store, Nicolasa and her family's progress emphasizes the importance of Kiva.
