Trabajando En Union Group's story

This group comprises five hardworking people with a lot of creativity for business. They are members of the “Trabajando en Union” [working together] communal bank.

Flor is 43 years old and lives with two children. For two years, her business has been a small cafe inside of a secondary school where she prepares and sells breakfast to the students and teachers. She works Monday through Friday and also cooks for all types of events when they ask her to.

Flor’s greatest desire is to see her children become professionals and, in the future, feel proud of her, for all of the efforts she makes for them.

Flor will use the loan to to improve her cafe (purchase some chairs, tables, etc.) so that her business will be more presentable in order to earn more income.

In the photo, Flor is the second from the right, wearing a long-sleeved, black polo shirt and yellow pants. Flor and the other members of the group are grateful to Kiva for the loan granted to them and for the confidence they have been shown.
