A loan helped to buy watering cans, hoes, pesticides, fertilizers, and seedlings for her farming business.

Adu's story

Adu is a 48 year-old woman who is married with five children; they live in a rural community in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She has a garden where she grows cabbages and eggplants that she sells at the market to earn a living to support her family. She has been doing this for four years.

Adu has requested a loan to help her pay for additional watering cans, hoes, pesticides, fertilizers, and seedlings to make a new garden and increase her production.

She plans to use her profits to support her family financially. She became a member of SPBD in 2017 to gain access to financial services for her business.
