A loan of $575 helped working capital.

Teresa De Jesus's story

Señora Teresa C., 28, is a single mother with a 6-year-old son. She has a business buying and selling office furniture. She also sells clothing, stockings, etc. Señora Teresa started this business over 8 years ago, selling new clothing, jewelry, costume jewelry, and other things. As her clientele increased, she began selling office furniture. She points out that she got started with her own capital, which she increased little by little. She is requesting a loan from Fundación León 2000 in order to buy furniture pieces, since she already has the client orders that she wants to fill as soon as possible. This is the sixth loan she will have through Fundación León 2000, all of which have helped her to improve her earnings and keep her place in the market, although the competition is stronger every day. She dreams of having a shop in the market selling clothing, furniture, and domestic appliances, so she can improve her earnings and her quality of life.
