Khalidi's story

Khalidi is 28-year-old energetic carpenter and resident of Buguruni area. He is the father of 2 children. He has been in business for 6 years and is a skilled carpenter. Khalidi received business training from programs organized by Youth Self Employment Foundation. He buys wood upcountry and sells some of it retail at his workshop. He uses the remaining wood to make chairs, beds and tables. He helps his community by employing three others to work with him. Khalidi is requesting a loan of $750 so he can purchase more modern equipment, which will enable him to expand his workshop and his business.
