Cotonou Agence principale, Benin / Cloth & Dressmaking Supplies

A loan of $225 helped to buy and resell pagnes (colorful African cloth).

Solange's story

Solange C. was born on May 9, 1970, in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. She's married to Marcel EHOUZOU, an agent with BTP. She's the mother of two school-attending children, and she lives with them. The couple supports the family together. Solange attended school up to secondary level. In order to provide for herself, she sells pagnes (colorful African cloth). She gets her supplies in Dantokpa, an international marketplace in Benin, as well as in Lomé, Togo. Solange has 15 years of experience in this business. She already benefited from several loans from Kiva's partner, ALIDé, which were repaid without problems. Solange is seeking another loan from ALIDé, in order to bolster her business and satisfy personal needs.
